Default LED Headlights with E-Start

Hi all - been scouring the internet for an answer to this question but all of the LED threads I have read are not clear on this, to run LEDs on a 2014 with E-Start do I need rectifiers?

Thanks in advance.

I believe it depends on the motor. A 600 does not need them, as I do not have them for my 2016 600. I believe the 800 does need them. @Tommcat can answer for sure

YES you need rectifier, only buy the cyclopes lights as they are made with rectifier in line.
CIL-LED-10.0H4-Ultra-REC Cyclops 10.0 H4 LED headlight bulb
Upgrade To Ultra 10.0: Upgrade To Ultra 10.0 $10.00
Add a rectifier for AC powered applications (dirtbikes and some scooters): Add plug and play rectifier, bulb will stay on high beam $19.95 $109.90 x 2

the early Ctec 600 had a built in AC/DC converter and does not need rectifiers. SOME 800s had the converter from the factory and some people installed it themselves, so the best bet is to use your DVOM and check for 12v DC at the headlight connector.
if you have DC, no rectifier needed. If it's AC power, then you need rectifiers.
