Default 16' Procross 800HO Budget Upgrades!!!

Interested in any advice or upgrades on my wife's and my sleds. Also thought I would share our upgrades so far. Over 5700 miles and only replaced 1 water pump seal which was under wrnty. Running APV oil and 91-93 octane.

What you have looks plenty good for bolt ons. You would be needing a power commander if you did much more.

D&D Riot kit for the Zuke 800HO is a great kit with big bang for the buck

Thanks! Yeah that would be sweet but a little too much for this build. Plus I would then want to put it on a dyno and tune it perfect lol!

Awesome kit but sorta pointless since I already have most of the parts already.

Yeah I have been going back and forth on reeds for 2 years now LOL! I have heard and read so many conflicting opinions on power increase or just throttle response, reliability, etc. and haven't seen much fact it's hard to decide. If I do upgrade reeds can anyone be more specific on which ones and why? Thanks!

You don't understand how the LTS head works then
And you can just buy the parts you don't have VS the complete kit..... But a Y and breathers isn't "most of the parts"

Wow great contribution to this forum. Instead of just posting "riot kit" why didn't you explain which other parts I should add and why, instead of just trying to insult me claiming I "don't understand how the LTS head works". Understanding how it works and wanting to install it on my sleds are two different things.

The Riot Kit may be the best possible upgrades for and 800HO, but some people enjoy to be different, enjoy the build themselves, enjoy the tech discussion, have a different budget, etc. In my case I have a friend that gives me dealer cost on most of the parts I have bought. He is not a dealer for D&D. So the the cost on my parts VS performance gain is a drastically better value than what the Riot Kit would have been for my situation. And guess what we LOVE our sleds, and ride them alot.

Add a 2.5* timing key, Boyesen Rage Cage reeds and the "Sleeper sleeve", those will compliment the parts you already have well. I ran a Y, Boyesen Rage Cage Reeds, 2.5* key and Fogzskins, machine ran very strong and fun from corner to corner.

Thanks for explaining which reeds you recommend. I have been looking at the rage cage and now that our stock reeds have so many miles and we got our use out of them lol it seems more worth it to upgrade.

Timing keys definitely interest me! I understand that they may be more beneficial with a lower compression head but I've also heard of some people have success without it. They don't cost much and from what I gather I just need to make sure my fuel is higher octane to prevent detonation, which I'm very cautious about! So how many degrees and why?
