Default 2018 R XC or 2019 R XC

I want to try something different, so I bought a new left-over 2018 R XC for trail riding next year. Iím curious who has seat time on a 2018 or 2019 R XC. From AC's yearly release information, it seems the 2018 and 2019 are similar.
In stock form;
1. With the updated shocks (per 2018 announcement) can you adjust ride so itís not harsh? What settings for the front and rear shocks do you feel are best for the trail?

2. How is clutch engagement?

3. What do you experience on low end, mid-range and top end?

4. What are your general impressions?

Thank you.
