Question 2006 Fusion 600 Gauge Flickering on & off

I have a 2006 Fusion 600 and at the end of last season the gauge started to flicker on and off. The headlights, handwarmers, etc all work fine it is just the gauge. I do have the updated regulator. I should mention I have over 9,000 miles on this snowmobile and about 6,500 on the new regulator I would guess. I have cleaned the ground wire near the secondary clutch and replaced the gauge with another and still the same thing. I also traced all the wires in the harness and can't seem to find anywhere wires have rubbed through. Any ideas? I used to have the service manual, but since moving can't seem to find that so it makes troubleshooting the wiring harder without a diagram.

Loose or corroded connection is where I would start. Clean and add dielectric grease.

Maybe at gauge connection. I had an issue inside handwarmer/hi lo with dirty connections on one of mine...cleaned it and fixed a much worse problem than a flickering gauge.

Speedometer sensor was shorting out because the driveshaft bearing was shot--this caused the gauge to flicker on and off. Replaced both and its good to go now.
