Default How long chain do i need with 21 39?

Hey! Im new here! I have a Polaris fusion 600 -06 and i got a 21t top sprocket instead of the 23t. I think the chain is 74 links as original. But the chain is already loose with the 23t so its way to loose for the 21t. Can i buy a 72 Link chain and it will fit or does it have to be a 74 and tightened alot?

This is how it looks right now with 23 39 and the old chain.

I just looked up that 76 links are original. Is the next smaller one, 74, to small for 21/39 instead of 23/39?

Chart show what gears with which chains Poo recommends. Doesn't mean other gear combo's wont work, if you have a stretched chain or massage the tensioner, or even can fit some gear setups with out a tensioner.
