Default 2002 and 2003 XCR 800 production numbers?

Does anyone know the production numbers of the 2002 and 2003 XCR's 800? You do not see these too often so I think the numbers might be low? Bombardier Museum released that only 234 2003 Mach Z 800 were built. Good info to know. Thanks

Don't know how many were produced. I only know they didn't sell well.

2003 there were only 200+ built. i can find the exact number but i know it was less than 300. 2002 was around 500.

there were plans to have a factory 800 triple in the edge chassis but sales numbers were heading south while the domestic twins were selling like wild fire. so this is what killed the triple/triple market. all brands

Good info! With those numbers both years are pretty rare for sure.

I wouldn't have guessed those years had that low of production. There was a dealer in northern Maine that had a new 03 for years. I'm thinking it was 07 or 08 by the time they sold it. Too bad they didn't build a factory edge XCR, that might have been enough modernizing to carry the triple a few more years.

Right around 350 units built for the 03 model year. I was also told that the 03s were a short run because they used all the leftover 02 motors for them. Didn't get enough orders for the 02s, so they used up the motors the next year. Then they killed the model. There were prototypes built in Edge chassis' but Polaris didn't want to tool up for so few sales, and most likely destroyed those prototypes.
