I thought I read online somewhere that the top end is around 70mph ish? And that the power was about the same as the 550 fan.

Interested too for my Dad, but don't understand why they put a 3/4" lug track on it. Not much there for deep snow to grab with I would have at least at 1" on it.

Default Update..600 ACE

Just a early short note on the 600 ACE. We had it up on the trails this weekend,we were very impressed with it!The sled(s) ran flawless, was excellent on the trails.Very torquey and corner to corner was alot of fun, the motor performed better than I expected! obviously in a drag race it didn't stand a chance against my 1200,but it lifted the skis down low and ran very strong till about 60. From 60-70 the acceleration tapered down..I've read posts with people claiming 65 was gonna be about it on these sleds-BULL! Hahaha -I think once it's out of break-in mode low 80's is gonna be more of a real world figure. In all honesty the nimbleness of the sled compensates alot for the power it gives up to the 1200.. I was concerned there might be some buyers remorse after he bought it but my son loves the sled!

T-rex I didn't whip out the tape measure but it's track appears to be 1 1/4" just like the one on my '10 Renegade. Not sure where you came up with 3/4"? Maybe on the TNT not the 'gade.

I got the spec off the doo website and yes it was the Sport that's listing 3/4" lugs. That's sounding like doo may have a winner here. I can see this being a sought after sled with a lot of cottagers and the odd trail runner. Keep us update on it please and thanks.

Bought the ACE in a Renegade for my wife. I absolutely love it. Plenty of power, quiet as can be and super torque. I think she's gonna love it. It feels like an electric motor and reminds me of a powerful golf cart. It's hard to explain but the second you touch the throttle the sled jumps to life. It seems to move before it makes any noise. I'll report back once it's broken in.

If your wife is riding it shouldn't she be reporting back? Sounding more like you got a new ride...

Picked up a 600ace renegade for my mom yesterday. Me and the old man just had to give it a try before we turned it over. Took a 50+ mile spin swapping with my well set up Yamaha Rage (apex seat, risers, KIMPEX arrow skis, 13 mm sway bar). Trails were a mix of fresh panned, moderately ridden and ungroomed. some tight twists and some open roads and rail grades. Conditions were fairly soft in the twists and there was some push but not much more then the rage. The light weight was noticable and it was a very light effort to drive. Now for the engine...It is kind of like riding a 4-wheeler. The twin has a very different sound and feel. Very unlike a yamaha. It takes off with the thought of pushing the throttle, super quiet. Even when punching it it never seems to rev hard. It is not as smooth and even as our Yamahas under acceleration. It is very smooth and comfortable cruising steady up to 55. My impression is that the sled is sneaky fast. You will not be floating the front end over any little trail rise by gassing it but it will really haul the mail from 15to 50 but it does it in a very deceiving fashion with the low revs and torque. I think it will be great for all day trail cruising at full speed as long as you don't have a throttle fetish. I will stay with 120 ponies but this would be great for teens and casual cruisers. Does this 4 stroke have a break in program??? I thought that was on the 2 strokes? Just some initial impressions.
