Local has a 1200. Maintainaance.......not much.......2 windshields, and some bags........other than weight watch out if it's very cold and you run your battery down.....starting one is nearly impossible........and own one long enough it happens.
Good advice. I have a buddy who brings a small light weight lithium battery jump box with for that very reason.

A friend has 2 1200's, one of which has over 20k miles. The 09 has been basically trouble free. One track, one belt, 2 sets of runners, rebuilt clutch one time and a normal skid part replacements. 2nd one only has 10k miles so its basically just broke in!

We had 2011 1200's, then 2014 900"s and now the 2017 1200's..
Regular maintence and gas and go..Zero issues, with all sleds..Total of all 6 sleds would be 104,000 kms and still counting ..Love the 4 stokes..

I would imagine the 1200 and 900 ace 4 stroke, should in theory go 100,000+ like the yamaha 1049 will.
