Default Start Switch Issues

Looking to see if anyone else has had a similar issue using the E start for Ski-Doo. I have a 2011 Backcountry and the start button doesn't work all the time. Seems if you play with the wires from the assembly behind the housing the button will work and she will fire right up. Previous owner replaced the relay but it still has the issue. The sled seems to go into reverse just fine though. I'm under the impression the button needs to be replaced.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Replace the 5amp fuse before you go crazy with anything else. Even if it looks okay!

I had the same issue with my 12 GSX. I found the micro switch was poorly designed and moves around a lot on its mounting pin. I glued it in place ,and have been testing it all summer with 100 % success. Hope this helps

I had a buddy that had major issues on his '12 Freeride. He ended up installing an aftermarket switch.

So update on the repair. Tested the switch and it checks out fine. Charged the battery and also cleaned a couple of ground connections that had some corrosion. Now it seems a lot better to start however every once in a while I’ll have to press and hold the button then it will start. Any ideas?
