Smile Lightest 600 snowmobile 1999-2008

Motocross Protective Equipment is important for anybody who wants to ride. Whether you are young or old motocross is a great sport but it can also be extremely dangerous. Wearing the right protective gear is a great way to keep you safe but also give you the peace of mind to still have fun.

600 edge isn't the lightest sled out there. Its around 475 lbs. without fluids. You'd need to spend a lot of coin on lightweight parts and labor just to get to 430.

Thats what happens when you fail to read an old thread. I agree that the edge 600 can be setup to smoke many of the new sleds down the lake, i've already done it with mine.

If you are thinking '07 IQ, then certainly avoid the CFI and get the carb model instead. Otherwise that chassis and motor are good. That year had a glitch in the fuel injection mapping and there was no fix from Polaris. I had one and it was expensive for burn downs. there was a lean spot in the mid range. Had to unload it. Actually my last Polaris after 7 in a row.

our 600 edge is 380 lb.s it's can be done. and it's turning a 136" track. it's a pro-stock. here is some interesting figures. the stock rear 121" suspension weighted 57 lb.s the wahl rear skid 22 lb.s the stock track 45 lb.s the speed track 22 lb.s the suspension and track weighted less than either the stock track or rear suspension? but yes a lot of coin in this sled.

Yeah, we had pro stock wedges that weight, but these are legitimate trail sleds were discussing, not with a ultra lightweight chassis/hood, and everything else to make that weight. If you ever tried to take these sleds down a rough trail, they'd fold up.
