Default 01 ZRT-600 with Engine Vibration

Hello,

I have a 2001 ZRT-600 with about 4000 miles on it. It has an engine vibration. It appears to vibrate worse when it idles than when I ride it. I think it is just more noticeable then because the rest of the sled is still so the vibration and noise stand out more. The vibration seems to shake the hood and cause it to rattle loudly. I may not even notice the vibration if it didn't shake the hood so much. The sled seems to run fine but I'd like to get it taken care of soon.

I've read that it could be a flywheel problem. I've considered that it could be a motor mount also.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot and find the root cause. I don't mind taking my stuff to a shop but I at least like to find out what the exact problem is first to avoid paying for an exploratory diagnosis on an older sled.

Thanks everybody. With 2 more days of deer season here in PA it is almost time to ride.

Cranks were notorious for breaking. Better check the runout

Check your primary for broken parts also, flyweights if they are of the adjustable type.
