Very nice. I have a customer that breed dobermans. Beautiful animals. No shedding either. Can't seem to talk the wife into it. We have a 7 year old fur ball at home. Super smart dog. She will be tough to replace.

seemed like they were all over years ago, but the " mean" reputation may have lessened the numbers. as kids we rode bicycles to get anywhere. back in the 70s we could ride as far as we could pedal . parents were fine with it. we would ride to a bike shop that a state trooper had in his garage, and buy parts, tires, etc. one problem, there is a chicken farm in the middle , on a big flat straightaway. and they had 2 dobermans as guard dogs. they ran loose 24/7 and seemed like they would kill us. so that was the challenge. come in hot, hope they are distracted , and fly by. lots of close calls, and they would chase for a bit, then turn back. one day sticks in my memory. we were about to do the fly by, and they suddenly just walked out in to the road. too late to turn back, and they were running towards us. so we pour it on, and go right at them. the road there was smooth tar finish and slick when wet. it had just rained, the dogs go right by us and we look back. as they try to turn around both wipe out on the slick road and go spinning off into the field . we laughed for an hour. my other friend had one named hugo. the only time he wasn't a goofy and friendly was if you were sitting in his chair. or tried to get him out of it. he would wrinkle his lips back and that rack of teeth would get the point across. looks like a perfect specimen. what did you name him?

Good post. Love my dog. Runs the house. He won’t get on the new assault with the open foot wells though.

my friend's dog hugo would go and sleep on his parents bed. they had to gently call him and coax him off. if you yelled or got stern he would stand up and piss on the bed. yeah, we dodged many a mean dog back then. a malimute is what got me. playing tag with my friend, i tripped him, dog broke chain and ripped me up. never saw it coming. still have the scars almost 50 years later. soon after i was going by and the maimute was loose and gave me another run. lucky it was downhill and i got away. so they "get rid" of the mean fucker, or so we thought. they gave it to someone a few miles away. wouldn't you know we were riding by and he got another chance to rip me up. but downhill saved me again. this time my parents got serious and the dog was gone. hate to think what he would have done to me if he got me. anyway, not turning this to a mean dog thread. the OP got a sweet new pup, and we look forward to more pics as he grows.
