Maybe this will be a fun thread, maybe NAUGHT.

Oh yah, dontcha know. I am from MinneSOta. Everytime I travel people comment on my accent when I speak O's and Ah's. Cue the "oh ya, you betcha" impression "OOooh MinneSOOoota?" or "have you seen 'Fargo'?" Yes, the movie TV show AND the actual city in ND NOT MN!

As such, I have a strong affection other regions's "accents," and usually enjoy hearing the extremes.

Because this is our favorite snowmobile forum, what is your favorite accent from within the snow belt?
I have heard some doozies on the south side of The Great Lakes...

Shoout oouut to the CANADIANS!

In Canada hands down our Newfie's have the most distinct accent. Some people from Newfoundland sound like they are from Scotland or somewhere over there. Can't hardly understand them.

That video is not far off what some are like. The beer consumption is also often talked about. They eat , drink, work, play and live life like no others. I have a buddy retired now and he worked in Iqualouit on Baffin Island for 35 years. Always said the best workers they ever had were guys from Newfoundland. After the govt put limits on the fishing it became very common for guys from Newfoundland to work in the most remote areas in Canada.

The broken english the women of Quebec speak is right at the top of the list for me.
