my thought on the 850 patriot. the whole fucking motor is junk. 18 miles on mine and the coating is stuck in the rings, it's in the crank, etc. pistons are complete garbage. Kelsey had one of these apart and told me the motor was junk, now Indy Dan says it is.

It pains me to agree with krom.

The Nytro XTX (not Nytro 121) was best home-grown 4-stroke snowmobile Yamaha ever made and they were fast. Except the 7.7 gallon fuel tank was definitely too small.

I think someone offers a 10 gallon tank for them.

It is the only Yammi I considered buying. I love it on unplowed forest roads.

Being a PipeFitter for 30 years, makes things hurt when riding hard all day. Off trail mostly. Trail riding, not so much. Some of the locals I ride with are over 65. They are strictly trail guys.

The previous owner threw a ton of money at it. New track,Billet wheels.exhaust, shock rebuild ECT. Pretty solid sled for $3500.

I have you beat by a decade.

Our group wants me to lead a lot and a riding partners college-age son told me last year "I'm working pretty hard keeping up, you ride fast for your age" I guess that was a back-handed compliment.
