I like how at 1:25 the throw a new primary and belt at it. it's a nice little video the guy put together and shows pretty clearly it's not a nice flat smooth 500 mile oval track race. probably not quite as exciting a running down a pond, over and over and over.

On Feb. 8, 1969, 47 snowmobiles began the first I-500 on the original track made only of snow and just 26 finished. The three-person teams were required to switch drivers at least every 50 laps. They average top speeds were only 36 m.p.h., allowing fans to cross the track between racers.

It took 13 hours and 42 minutes for the winning team, Lapeer County's Dan Planck and Otis and Leonard Cowles, to complete 500 laps.

oh wait, sorry. I forgot this thread was all about that quitter Big Fuse

I'm not really up to speed on the Soo.

Cats does not have the best track record at the Soo if I remember right maybe they will have a winning streak now? Or do I go with Bunke who has had many winning runs at the Soo.

It took them like 50 years or something like that to win it. It was 2010 or 2011 when they won it for the first time. Bunke has probably won that race himself more times than all the cat riders combined.

The last 150 laps the track usually goes to shit and is just death with moguls and ruts in the corners.

2010 - it was 42 years and the sled looks vaguely familiar
