Based on what I saw was the 800 Cat coming first at nothing. Doo had the best ET and Poo had the best mph. Well at least they can hang their hat on coming second.

There isn’t enough Doo guys in here to make this fun though. Or, they are too above these idiotic shit flinging contests...which makes them lame.

Yes, I know... @Badger is a Doo guy now but he’s going through some type of Poolaid mental withdrawal issues so, he’s impotent.

How embarrassing it must be for an 850 to lose to an 800.
Unmatched unreliability and slower than an 800. Fucking awesome. Great job.

And here I thought it was just an embarrassment to own and ride a Cat

If you get embarrassed by beating bigger engine machines, that cost more, yes definitely.

Also the Polaris 850 was running mega-bite trail studs and the Cat was running Triger race studs!!!

Well that explains it all right there, the overweight underpowered cat 800 had better traction. The fact that it was down almost 3mph shows its not making hp.

Congrats to Cat. It sounds like the new 800 is a runner.

Since this is the GDF, I feel I should say something like, "Well, it's been about ten years since Cat last had a winning 800 at the Shootout, so I was getting tired of seeing Polarises win."

When will we get the full write-up? The conspiracy theories are already out there, just like they are every year. (Here are two of the popular ones I've seen: "The Doo and Polaris were still in break-in mode." "Livingston's has been accused of manipulating early season races in the past in order to sell Cats, so they probably had a ringer set aside for the shootout.")
