How's those junk Artctic/Team designed clutches doing. Is that one of your selling points to your customers. Oh and another feature on the 800 C-Tec version 2 it has junk clutches.
Getting hit in the foot by flying clutch parts would definitely suck.
Not sure getting hit by flying connecting rod is better but if that's your preference, i respect your decision.

Percentage wise, it sounds like the CTEC 800 isn't doing any better.

At least with the rod it stays in the belly pan.

my thought on the 850 patriot. the whole fucking motor is junk. 18 miles on mine and the coating is stuck in the rings, it's in the crank, etc. pistons are complete garbage. Kelsey had one of these apart and told me the motor was junk, now Indy Dan says it is.

I m betting that will be over next year with the Turbo 850 Doo. It will be a little heavier, but it will perform better at higher altitude.

Sounds like you tie up alot of self worth to what's new in a snowmobile company. Good luck with that winning strategy.

PS the riot X is also new. So that's 4 all new models

And visa versa, here is a quote from a Snowest 840 Polaris owner..
Quote:
Anyone here have heard of connecting rods snapping ?

I broke one last weekend on a 2020 motor with 400 km on it. Took out my engine casing. Just wondering if it’s a common occurrence. My dealer said he’s never seen one in his many years of being in the sled game.

Funny thing is it didn’t even break under power. I pulled the cord and it broke. Engine didn’t even idle up long enough to power up my gauge.

Oh well .... onto engine number 5 on this sled. 5th one is gonna stay together ... right???

I realize I’ve had horrible luck with this machine. I hope Polaris will do something for me this time other than a few bucks toward parts and accessories. I’d like to get into a 2021 snowcheck for not a lot of money. I will contact customer support Monday about that.
