Valcourt is on the 45th parallel, while Roseau is on the 48th.

Arghhhh... The cursed Ski Doo "Red Baron" to Polaris' "Snoopy". Been that way since rocks were invented.

The way I heard it, Edgar Hetteen stopped by the Ski Doo factory while riding to the North pole on a Sno-Traveler in 1960 to pee his name in the snow on the boulevard in front of Bombardier's office.

In retaliation, Joseph-Armand Bombardier rode to Roseau on an obnoxious yellow and black abomination and peed his full name on Edgar Hetteens lawn.

This embarrassed Hetteen so badly (Edgar just used his first initial instead of peeing his full name) that Hetteen moved to TRF and started Arctic Cat.

That's why Ski Doo snowmobiles have always been yellow and black, to remind Polaris of their epic pee defeat.

Not sure if it's true, but that's the story I heard.

If you're looking for a fight in the ProCross thread its not going to happen sorry you don't like the truth. Lets be honest the 800 Ctec2 is no better than the Ctec1. I see cross over members commenting all the time in other brand threads as long as you show respect I see no issue. Its a fine line but I did not cross over it IMO.

The number indicator is referencing number of stroke.
C-TEC4 = 4 stroke
C-TEC2 = 2 stroke
2018-2019 C-TEC2.1 DSI
2020+ C-TEC2.2 SDI
It is a bit confusing.

I think the change was more than just HP numbers.
Looking at the emissions numbers the 2020 is better than the 2018 & 19.
99% of riders don't care about that but it was something AC had to do to make EPA happy which ultimately make us happier. Todays engines are a lot better then back in the day.

Another change was oiling.
They relocated injection points on the 2020 for better lubrication with less oil used. The 2018 & 19 weren't bad, there are guys with over 10,000 miles on their sleds. Now it should be that much better

Yep, a rear engine tractor, caught a glimpse of a real snowmobile then came home and tried to copy it with the epic failure Comet. Poo finally got on the right track with the Mustang. Even back then imitation was the ultimate form of flattery.
