Default Arctic Cat Turning A Profit, 800+ Folks @ TRF Keeping Their Jobs

Its true that Cat hasnt been communicating well with the media and theyve admitted that. They have scaled back race team funds but are still sponsering over 400 teams, albeit with less funds, or around $1000-$2000 each. They also plan to offer new sleds and an all new sled for 2021, and say theyve had a team working on it for years.
Rejoice Madcatters, our beloved brand is going nowhere and Textron are just about done cutting the fat. New rumors are Cat will release the updated version of the CTEC II with the planned 165HP and possibly into a industry changing chassis.

Making profit right now ?

/ I would like to see that creative accounting..Sales in 1st-2 quarter, pay bills in 3rd-4th ? Old inventory written off in previous years, now pure profit (on paper) this year ? LOL.

I've seen some small businesses operate under cash accounting rules, which can be very deceiving when looking at a partial year or even a 1 year period when sales are cyclical. They can buy inventory one month (or year) and then sell it all the next - which makes Month 1 look like they lost money and Month 2 look like they made money.

But, a big company doesn't work like that. It could very well be that they accelerated depreciation on their tooling last year and then don't have any depreciation left this year or something creative like that. But, it still has to pass scrutiny of auditors.

Not saying auditors wouldn't be willing to turn a blind eye, but it's not as easy to get away with it as it used to be.

Considering the lawsuit that is filed against them right now I would have to guess they would be VERY cautious about any "creative" accounting. LOL

Yup, this:

I think there is another law company representing another state for the same reasons as lawsuit above too.

Lol. Leave it to Stinki to cite the media as fact without thinking.

A short term profit does not make a healthy company. If they said anything other than what he did no one would take their snowchecks killing the profit. He forgot to highlight the new model is a small update to the 200's
