Out in California they use the long rolls of spikes. Put them everywhere. Post tops have conical caps on them. All the decoy things just don't work long term

It was a joke. I was kidding. What I would do, is bait them to the neighbor around the way. Whatever they eat, just make sure there is a lot of it their way. That would work, no birds harmed.

I have known of some folks using helium filled balloons on strings for keeping geese out/away
NOT sure if this would work on seagulls or not
but cheap enough to try maybe
a few dozen balloons on varying lengths of string,
about things, to screw with there ability to fly and the random motions supposed to spook them?
NOT sure if fake Owls would have any fear added to them,? or Hawks
like them plastic ones you can buy to scare of things?

Gulls could give a fuck about any fake predators, or spinning whirligigs in the wind.

Once one finds your canopy, lands and takes a shit on it, its over. They will all come in from miles away and crowd together on it.

Fishing line works. Started using it as an experiment then bought this:
Seagull Gull Buster™ Canopy System: Seagull Stop Deterrent System

Been using it for a couple hears now. kinda pita to install, but it absolutely works

IMHO one of these would be easier:
Bird Deterrent System Gulls Away

my thought on the 850 patriot. the whole fucking motor is junk. 18 miles on mine and the coating is stuck in the rings, it's in the crank, etc. pistons are complete garbage. Kelsey had one of these apart and told me the motor was junk, now Indy Dan says it is.

My other neighbor has dog, and the gulls still get his boat to. My further neighbor doesn't, he bought flat black boat covers this year. The gulls won't touch his boats, they hit my cover instead. The color on my other neighbors cover is sky blue and mine is a bit darker blue. I'm starting to wonder if gulls don't like black for some reason.
