Ya there is no "normal" right now. But my FIL said some very sweet things to me, and that's not usually how he is.
HMMMM sounds like more than 3 weeks.

Or maybe a few dances. LOL
I,ve found that lots of people have regrets about stuff that happened in the past, but very few ever make it a point to say " I,m sorry ", usually people just keep drifting apart farther and farther.

I agree. I have some regrets myself. I live my life now a little differently. I say the things I need to say. Good and Bad. Sometimes we don't get second chances.

So Sunday morning we sleep in, have coffee in bed and watch CBS Sunday morning.

Hubby goes out to the kitchen to get us coffees (around 8:30 or so, I set up the coffee pot the night before) and there's the mother in law, sitting at the table basically WAITING for us to make her breakfast.

She asks Steve "are "WE" having breakfast?

He goes on to explain that we sleep late, have coffee in bed and we get up around 10:30-11:00 and either order out, or yes cook breakfast.

She replies "well, I have to eat right after I wake up" and hubby says "eggs and bacon, oj and hash browns are in the fridge. Frying pans are above the stove".

So we are on day 10 of 30. FIL has been very sweet and kind. He spent the afternoon with me and my 8 yr old granddaughter at our pool.

He looked at me and said "I've missed alot, and for that I'm sorry" (I mentioned he was estranged from us for over a decade)

I said "well your here now". So far so good. But they are slobs, actually Debbie Downer is...I put her to work yesterday vaccuming lol

20 more days to go....

So the guys went fishing yesterday morning. Dad caught a couple pike, lost a big one right at the boat (along with my lure 😞

Heading to the store to get some Rapalas.

Non resident fishing license was $68 holy cow (I paid for it, fathers day gift).
