1.) Company is like fish: After 3 days they start to smell. Be that as it may, you are taking the high road and God Bless you. Drink heavily and often!

2.) I've taken care of a number of young women who paid for their college doing the same as you. No judgement here.

Ok. I'll answer. I like bloody Mary's. A creepy regular put MMDA (sp?) In my drink. It was towards the end of my shift.

I think he planned on following me out and putting me in his car, or something like that. (Ladies, ALWAYS get your coctail straight from the bartender, watch him make it).

So I start to feel horrible, wobbly and hallucinating..and I pointed to the creep and said something to the effect of "he,he,he...put...sumthin..in my drink...

Well the other 2 girls working with me walk over and start hitting him. Then Glen the bouncer (and another big biker I forgot his name) well they held him down while I kicked the shit out of him with my solid wood dancing shoes (they were a thing back then the shoes).

And I mean bad. And the guys dragged him out and we never saw him again.

And I got a ride home and passed out for hours. It was awful. I don't understand people who willingly take that stuff.

I "retired" about 8 months after meeting my h, roughly in early 1986.

My stage name was my middle name. Pepper (cute huh? I always hated it)

No pictures. Matter of fact I destroyed the small few I had of me on stage. Don't need my grand kids finding them some day.

I just want to say: I never became a druggie or prostitute. I banked just about every penny I made. I spent my breaks with my books studying lol. I also met some interesting people.

My H is and was the ONLY guy I ever hooked up with from work. See there is such a thing as love at first sight and soul mates.

I just met mine and married him 🙂

Funny thing was I didn't wear make up, dressed like a boy (I am a tomboy for sure) I didn't know how to wear the tiny costume. I was bartending at night and worked at a factory by day. And one of the bars I worked at was called The Walking Man cafe.

The dancers would come in with their singles and I'd cash them out. I saw those piles of $ and asked them what they did.

And well one night I did a few shots of Jack, got on stage and the rest is history as they say.

So ya that's enough sin for me lol

We were under the impression they were only staying for a long weekend for a family reunion.

So dad calls us, back and forth, keeps asking my hubby if it's ok if they stay.. AND THEN WE FIND OUT IT'S FOR THREE WEEKS!

Holy shit, crap, ahhh we are both totally buggin!!!

And no, we can't un-invite them. That would start an Armageddon of epic proportions LOL.

Anyone on here get "roped" into hosting family for an extended period of time?

Now let me say my father in law isn't the warmest nicest man, but at least he isn't a whiney Biotch like his wife. I do love this man, as he obviously is my husband's dad. And I love my husband.

But his wife is a "Debbie downer". Think Eyore!

Complains about my furniture, house, water, Christ everything.

Yes, I do have the room for them. But just the thought of having them here so long is making me ill.

I'm putting cable and a tv in their room, giving them the big bath, etc.

It's just I work from home, at least my husband gets to leave every morning. And I'm going to be stuck with these people.

Yes, I will probably be drinking heavily lol.

Any sage advice, pearls of wisdom, and epithets you have of enduring your own "in law home invasion" please share.
I think the fact that you work from home is your easy out. Spell it out to them in no uncertain terms that you are not to be bothered. no whining, no complaining, no standing over your shoulder, no asking what your doing. if they cant understand that you're working and abide by that then thats their problem. and like another guy said, dont make it too comfortable for them or they wont want to leave. good luck

Prison rules. First thing you do is punch the lights out of both. Make it clear your top dog. If they resist, keep punching. Its your block, not theirs.

Truthfully theres going to be a point where you need to just live your normal life and stop hosting. My wife's parents come by every few weeks for a day since they live so close. When its something my wife planned and I didn't know about it. I just do my normal stuff, I'm not hosting. Works fine.

....so, yea, live your normal life. You can't be "The Host" for 3 weeks,...just live your normal life.
Isn't every Saturday "stripper night" for your hubby?........maybe the FIL has some singles ($1.00) too!

Yuk yuk 🙂
Omg we're really loud too when we "get down" but both the inlaws are fuckin' deaf

Ya there is no "normal" right now. But my FIL said some very sweet things to me, and that's not usually how he is.
