Default New / updated C-Tec 800 171 HP ?

Someone posted on DT that the new / updated 2020 C-Tec 800 just hit 171 on the dyno. If true it should hang with the 850s. Not sure what the source was, anybody else hear anything?

There isn't much official data out...yet, but test riders say it's right there with the 850's.
165-170HP sounds right, they are classifying the motor officially as a '165HP' class engine.
Cat doesn't usually make claims like that unless they can back them up.
As far as how it does against them in a real race, the shootouts late this year are shaping up to be fantastic, I'll be going to the amsnow shootout near me in Inlet, NY.
Couldn't go last year as I was on-call for work.

Kudos to Cat if they made it happen, and it gets into the customer's hands. But I'd wait for the actual EPA compliant models to start arriving in peoples' garages before I'd latch onto that 171 number.

One guy on here is always good with inflated numbers for the C-Tec. If its not from that source may be true. Is it EPA compliant..............
