May have made more than that, could be 7,000 that have that connector that is in question. But, maybe not. Either way, It is the 600 they still a ton of.

Yeah, no kidding i'm bummed on my 2001 toyota, had an engine check light come on some time back, turned out one of the 4 o2 sensors developed an open heater element costing me $40. Should of at least lasted till i got to 350k miles, i wasn't happy.

I'm a Toyota guy myself. Bought my first new truck in 1986 and basically just changed the oil and spark plugs for many years. Did the timing chain at the prescribed miles and a clutch at some point. Had an alternator go bad on it and barely made it to the garage one time. I remember the wipers going very slow by the time I pulled in. The bearings went bad in it and I had it rebuilt. The guy who rebuilt it told me that was the first Toyota alternator he ever saw the bearings go out and showed me how wide they were and how much smaller the ones he put in it were. Had to replace the front brakes at 150000 miles but the back ones were still good. Replaced the bed because it rusted off the truck more or less with a silver one (mine was red) off a truck from Alabama that didn't know how to drive in snow and wrecked near me so I scarfed that up real quick! Had the front oil seal start leaking while out in WY but bought my mechanic a couple 50th anniversary Harley Davidson T-shirts in Sturgis on the way back so that didn't cost me anything to replace it. Drove it till it basically rusted apart but gave the motor to my mechanic to put in a 1995 he got with a bad motor. Mine was a carbed engine and his was fuel injected. He was told not to put the fuel injected heads on my block but he did anyway and that thing got almost 30 mpg on a trip! He drove it for over 8 years and it must have had over 300000 on it when he blew it up because it needed a head gasket but never got around to it. (Mechanics cars are the worst maintained LOL) I now gave him the engine out of my 1994 Toyota a friend destroyed by letting it roll down a hill and tearing the door off and smashing into another tree. So my trucks sorta got to live on which gave me a nice feeling..Plus I get almost free service on my vehicles

Sorry that got a bit long...but as far as brand loyalty goes with sleds....I find that even more heated than Ford Chevy etc...It is almost obnoxious at times. Personally I have seen more Ski-Doos broke down than Cats. But then there are more Doos out there where I ride too so that is not a real comparison IMO. I was riding a friends wifes Ski-Doo GSX 4 stroke one time and I really liked the sled except for it being a 4 stroke that I found pretty much gutless and heavy. I considered buying one when I saw another guy had one with 800 E-Tec in it in his group he rides with but he would not let me ride it because I had an Arctic Cat jacket. I thought he was kidding at first but he was dead serious. He said if I took it off I could ride it to see if I wanted one or not. I said nevermind... I dont have another coat to wear anyway and I didn't care for his attitude.
But you all got me thinking how awesome it would be if Toyota made a snowmobile. Didn't take them long to get the hang of NASCAR racing now did it?

Yep, that jgr organization is dominating nascar currently which imo nascar ain't what it use to be anyways. As far as toyota or honda i'd be the first to own one of their sleds if they ever did decide to build them. For now i'll stick with my old polaris edge. I can be much guarantee its going to be reliable. I've had enough polaris sleds through the years good an bad much like gm vehicles owned.

I understand, but dont feel too bad. Every make has that issue. I sometimes think many parts for all manufactures come from the same vendor.

This is an old recall just like the one for the 800 C-tec.

Honda tried PWCs for a few years, didn't exactly hit it out of the park...
Had a recall to replace the fuel tanks.
IMO they've been riding a reputation from the 80's.

my thought on the 850 patriot. the whole fucking motor is junk. 18 miles on mine and the coating is stuck in the rings, it's in the crank, etc. pistons are complete garbage. Kelsey had one of these apart and told me the motor was junk, now Indy Dan says it is.

Well, for that matter when it comes to pwc, polaris nor cat hit it out of the park either. Honda imo built their best lawnmowers in the 80's. I have an old self propelled one with the side discharge and lightweight body. Things got a trillion hrs. on it, yet still starts on one pull every time. That engine runs like a watch. Got a honda generator to thats seen some use.
