Default Craigslist - And itís just the beginning

cars & trucks - by owner ($5 per post)

Was just a matter of time I guess

I would assume other items to follow suite soon

When do we start paying internet taxes on everything listed, how long before that takes effect

The Facebook market place seems to be what people are using around here. But the free ride on CL was good while it lasted

Who does pay for Craigslist? That's a lot of information at your fingertips. I always assumed it was the dealers paying for our free ride.

This may get rid of the blast postings. I was looking for a trailer last fall and all but gave up on Craigslist cuz there were hundreds of junk ads. Then when I tried selling my trailer my ads were getting knocked down cuz I was posting in neighboring communities.

I wouldn't mind dropping $5.00/ad if it gets rid of the B.S. and maybe let's me post where I want to...

craigslist was founded on finding housing in the San fran area. The people providing(selling/renting) the housing were to pay for ads. The rest was all deemed to be free for then. Ebay bought an interest in the companty, but Craig made sure these peoples ads were to stay free.
the list is old school now. One would think that there would be less scammers on Marketplace due to you being able to see who you are dealing with....not always true.

Craigslist will be a ghost town in a year.....

the new pay schedule

All craigslist postings are free, except for:

Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted.
Paid posting accounts provide high-volume posters with additional payment options in some cases.

Agree that if it's just cars and trucks for now that's not bad. I don't sell that many auto's to worry about $5 when it comes time to sell one. Still a cheap way to sell something. I have sold all my sleds and power toys there with good results. I just don't do facebook and not about to start just to try to sell stuff.

I've purchased and sold a ton of stuff on C/L over the years, the vast majority of folks I interacted with and had transactions with were wonderful. Some, not exactly.

Truly amazing how long they've let us post items for sale for nothing on C/L in todays world.

X2 --- crnr2.

I sold and sell a lot of junk.... umm... "stuff" on CL. Sled parts, atv stuff, yard/house stuff....etc.

and can say ..... all the transactions went pretty good.

But...ya..... $5 for car ads ain't bad.

But just how much longer will all the other ads still be free.

I hope they start charging everyone for listing ads on cL, with that there would be a lot less bs.
