correct me if I am wrong, but don't they MAKE concrete that is able to handle bull dozers and excavators on steel tracks?
not sure of the costs difference for the type needed, but pending how large a floor your doing, it might be worth looking into no??
once done last forever on just sleds I would think, if it can handle 100 ton dozers and crap?

I'd lose it watching it go across the driveway let alone the shop floor

My concrete is sealed and finished, with concrete, and a little of that spray on, squeegee around quick job, $75 sealer stuff. I don't drive my own sleds across it, because I like to keep my studs and chissels sharp. I wouldn't drive a bulldozer on it, but a subcompact tractor with chains, or a 20k lb. farm tractor with chains is fair game. I use gas or paint thinner to clean of heavy oil stains that $5 purple power ceaner doesn't handle.
