Default fuel prices WTH?

ok I don't know if its just me or what, but fuel prices in my area are almost as high as they have ever been,. and the price per barrel of oil is NOT even HALF what it wa when fuel prices were this high 5+ yrs ago?
so WTH is causing fuel prices to be so high, and why the hell isn;'t anyone on the news or else where complaining about it?
$3.85 a gallon here for diesel
and over $3.25 for a gallon of regular

I know everyone seems so fired up about the president and his tweets and Stormy Daniels and all that crap!
but DAM, isn't anyone else complaining about things that really matter to the every day folks??

as far as I can see there is ZERO reason for fuel costs to be so high other than the oil folks, are doing so, since NO one is really complaining, and why would they lower it if folks will pay and not make a fuss??

this is nuts in 2014 at PEAK fuel prices EVER, the current price of a barrel of oil is HALF what it was in the high of 2014.
come on folks start complaining were getting screwed at the pump!

Haven't you heard, Ford is halting production of numerous car models because trucks and SUVs are selling, but cars aren't. Chrysler did the same. Gas is plentiful and the economy is booming.

Wanna come to Ontario and pay $1.50 per liter? lol.

I thought monopolies were illegal for this very reason. Not sure how it is in the states, but every brand gasoline station up here changes their prices at the same time too.

Wait until they pull out of Obama's Iran Nuke deal and see where prices go.

Gas was $4.23 here some years ago, it's $2.65 now.

It's simple supply and demand. People pay it because everyone is doing good, the economy is rolling, nobody is caring about gas. If you want to make a difference, start buying less or none at all.

well I don't know about things being so good, my state still has below average unemployment, and the highest fuel tax on the east coast
so its not just me I would think that finds the prices of fuel HIGH
and I wish fuel prices were in the $2.65 like posted above, but there far from that here! almost $4.00 a gallon here is crazy when barrel of oil is as low as it is IMO and that's my point?

just cause folks are paying for it too, doesn't mean we ain't being taken advantage of by oil company's!
summer travel season is not far off and at the rate its been climbing here the past few weeks, it might be way over 4 bucks a gallon again by summer!

again, if NO one is complaining, they will NOT lower prices, and I get that
I just feel more should be complaining I guess?

Its a joke. I used to be able to go from Chicago Cook County and get up to my place in central Wisconsin and it was 30-40 cents cheaper. Its just about the same now. Something is wrong. Ts almost like all these brands get on a conf call and decide what they all should charge.

Its funny. Wife asks me all the time what the price of gas is ( I leave before her in the am and pass the stations ) . I always say " I never looked. Don't care. I need it and there's nothing we can do aboot it. " just take your lumps

And that will do nothing...just like buying a Cat. Not enough people doing it to make a difference, going to fail miserably.
