I don't think (not 100%) Pilot ski's will bolt directly to our spindles,,
I currently run a CFR 1000 with a Y pipe, V-Force, trail ported and cylinder to case matched, lower airbox is sealed with a horn intake, running 91+ octane no fuel controller and its an extremely strong package. I also run a 1.32 cobra but lightly studded.
Secondary has Formula 1-X hub and bushing mod,
Services - Formula X-1 which is a must for the notoriously weak/bad stocker. I also have a BMP torsion conversion kit in it.
Magnaforce weights (I'd go Dalton quick adjust if I did it again)
Make sure your clutching offset is correct by using the 1.507" alignment bar.
I run SLP Sno-Pro ski's with their Cat mounts, I also have a set of SLP SLT's but I do ride some back country so I went with the extra flotation of the Sno Pro's with no change in handling on the trails vs SLT's which is excellent.
So with your machine with a Y-Pipe IMHO I'd go
1. Make sure the airbox is sealed
2. Formula 1-X hub/bushing mod.
3. BMP conversion kit
4. SLP Sno-Pros or SLT's or other non AC ski's.
5. Dalton Quick Adjust weights.

cheers

Can you explain the sealed airbox please? I have a set of PP's I took off my F7. Never thought about putting them on the F1000.

Remove airbox unhooked from the mouths of the throttle bodies; so remove pipe and y pipe and clutches. Remove left side spar panel and airbox tube, then the airbox. Inspect the bottom of the airbox for cracks or damage, as well as box separation. For separation use silicone to seal as there were some airboxes that were popping apart at the seams and leaving gaps. For the bottom of the box use Gorilla tape, it works really good. When putting back on be sure the airbox is sealed properly with the throttle bodies.
I love my PP on mine,, Cheers

I have SLT's as well but I was changing to Powder Pro's for trail/boondocking/back woods, one day I didn't have to time (didn't feel like it), went with the PP's and was amazed that they where just as good as the SLT's for trail. I use the SLT's on my other specific trail machine, they work great on trail.
Air horn they call it "high volume air horn" seams to seals better to the stock plenum it's slightly larger in diameter and sits slightly taller. The performance gains with Stock motors would be minimal, I like because it seals better.

Right on.. im pretty far from stock. No porting or anything, im not looking for gains im actually having a problem with the f10 its runnin on one cylinder on cold start and at wot. New injectors should be here tomorrow. Next most suspension would be the loose at best seal from the aibox to the boysen reeds. Basically im hoping to rule out bad crank seals with some already needed parts

You ride a F1000? I ran new C&A skis, end of the day it felt like I pitched 9 innings, heavy nosed Twin Spars love Pilots, 4 different people I ride with couldn't order them fast enough after riding mine, and it went around a corner just fine, C&A's were dart city...
