Most likely a one time thing due to bad gas or similar but as a preventative measure your fall inspection this year should include a very careful look over the throttle body boots for any signs of cracking as should you look the air box over for any splits or cracks.

What he said. Less than ideal fuel was likely the blame. Thise air boxes cack easily on the bottom, you can remove the rubber plug and look in there with a flashlight. A cracked box or weathered and cracked intake boot could allow it to run a bit lean and also injest snow dust. Both of those would trip the knock sensor too.

Lower air box, well worth the time and effort to remove and tape entire underside with Gorilla tape.

I'd expect no less.
Given how exposed to damage the lower box is, should have been a kit from AC itself.
