Watching Gary and his boys race at the East Jordan Sowblast made me go out and buy one. A couple of months later I had 2. They were very helpful and probably did not realize they were talking with a future IQR lunatic.

Phil I am perplexed about that secondary.....any info?

That's a Paragon. The original parallel opening secondary designed and built before the Team Tied.
I own 2 of them. Fantastic back shift. $800-1000.

I talked Gary into trying it. He almost flipped his IQR 800 over backwards while hitting the brake, then the throttle, testing in the field near his shop.

The Paragon uses a 58 deg straight helix. And best of all, a torsional spring rather than a compression spring. Spring tension is adjustable from outside. Self--aligning also because the two sheaves float on the helix. Extremely easy on belts. This secondary is way ahead of its time.

I been wanting to try a Tied to get rid of my RR stop, clunk, go. I see the out west guys have had some belt life issues with the Tied. A few have brought that to my attention in my WTB ad on Snowest.

2 different riding styles although
