It's obvious it happens everywhere hence the reason we all lock our trailer and do our best to protect them and our sleds/etc hoping we're not the next one to get ripped off,, GPS won't stop thieves but it will find them
yes it CAN happen any where, just like any one can win the lottery
BUT the facts are, theft of snowmobiles, , trailers and eve trucks, , are at a HIGHER risk in parts of Canada
as a FACT< its one of the ONLY area's again that advertise they have fenced in parking area's and the reason being, thefts was SO high, they had to do something to LURE snowmobiler's back!

ever see adds for resorts in the States advertising, fenced in parking lots, or locked parking lots, or fencing with barb wire about them for sleds and trailers??

NO you DON"T
as I said, its gotten better in CA, but it still holds a HIGHER rate of issue's than else where!

I have some great news to share tonight. Law Enforcement was able to recover all of my stuff in great shape. I flooded FaceBook over the weekend locally. Law Enforcement posted it on our local Crime Stoppers page and the media outlets really hit it hard. A concerned citizen spotted something not right across his lane at his neighbors and and turned in a tip. It was my trailer but it was empty. However that led them to the thief and a full confession. As a result they found another trailer he had stolen from the local Bombardier dealer. So for my family a very good ending.

So when are you going back to settle the score ? ..... don’t answer that . Glad you got your stuff back. Walmart is having a sale on plastic , duct tape , ball peen hammers and side cutters just in case you needed anything for “home repairs “
Zrt1200 and mrbb like this.

How does that work with insurance - had they already paid you?

Glad you got it all back!

Awesome,, Class C Felony and with him a repeat offender he should enjoy the boy'z in jail, I hear they like to cuddle. Scum bag deserves what's coming to him,,
Make sure you also claim all your lock's and any other stuff that was attached or in the trailer, its a good time to review your policy with your insurer to ensure if it happens again you and your family are covered,,,
Fuck I love justice!!

Nice to hear when someone gets their stuff back. Your one of the luckier ones as most never see it again.

Nice , glad you got your stuff back. Very rare. Sounds like a newbie thief, most pros would have that thing long gone.

We have Boats and trailers stolen from us all the time...trailer locks and fences can only do so much. Sadly thats why we all have to have insurance.
In a time like this more assholes are going to get desperate. Stay safe people.
