Was a 136 the longest you could get on an RMK that year?
Just curious...my 99 PS had a 136.

Only shows how far off the clutching was on early 2000 polaris sleds - the 02 xc700 should have 20+hp on the 500ss, and needed some tweaking to get pthe power to the ground.

Yeah, you could spend $1,000 to $2,000 making a 2000 700 RMK a little faster and increase the sled's worth by ZERO. I never understood it when people would spend big money on old (non collectable) sleds.
$100-200 in some clutch parts and carb jets usually woke these sleds up big time.

yup. Yamaha MM had a 141" in 2000 and Doo came with a late release 700 151"
Edit : Doo had a 144" regular release too

If you really want that sled to fly, change out to 23/40 gears along with doing the clutching. A buddy had the 00 700 xcsp and did that but ran the stock khein carbs but just rejetted them and ran 168 studs. Was a different sled after. It ran as good as my 00 600 ves and sometimes a tiny bit better depending on snow conditions if i used the same stock gears in the 600.

You should beat him no problem as long as your sled is healthy. Them 700s have been known to beat 800s an some triples. The 600 sdi is quick but not a giant slayer like the 700 was.

Heavy chassis? My mxz 700 is much lighter an easy to toss around than my buddss 2001 cat sno pro 440.

We were discussing the weight of the 00 700 mach 1 triples vs the poo 00 ves 600 at the time, not the doo 700 twins.

I know, we had 98 and 99 xc 700's both put a good beating on some of our guys that had 01 700 ski doo twins....even with a dynoport pipe and vforce reeds with some clutching. The doo 700 twin had a nice fat power band but those poo 700 twins hit like a sledgehammer against them. Even my 00 poo 600 ves twin would smoke the doo.
