This thread should be shown every year at about this time. Ive done a few dumb things and they have taught me a great deal. This thread really hits home cause it puts the danger in perspective. Have a safe and long season and thank you all for taking the time to share your experiences with the rest of us.

Wow...the last one says it all. It looks like it just got smashed over the head by King King and it's waiting for someone to deliver the final blow

i can't beleive i haven't 100% wrecked a sled yet. o well maybe this year. when i was 10 i was sitting on the trail and heard a crash. i motored over and found two guys rolling around spittin out blood with their sleds smashed into one pile of scrap. they hit each other head on in the corner. i got my dad and he called for help. that's really the only real sled wreck story i've got. i've partially wrecked a few times on my sled tho.

I'm lucky all I've ever done is witness major crashes, but never been in one.

I mean, I did hit a blow down at 45 and broke 4 ribs, but I was out sleddin in two days with a handful of ibuprofen! Sled only had a scratch on the windshield.

This happened about two years ago to a friend of mine. He rode into a ditch/culvert and hit the wall on the other side doing 50mph to a dead stop. He almost lost his arm. He cant really move his fingers to well and has no bicep muscle. Plus a nice scare from his chest to his shoulder all the way to his wrist. Bad part is I stopped to ask a group that we passed if they needed help, hood was up. I ride last in line, so I was hauling to catch up to my group and rode right by him. Thats how deep this ditch was.
