My 2003 viper not charging battery. Fires up no issues with a fully charged battery but wont charge. New battery, new regulator/rectifier. I'm kinda a noob with wireing. Any help would be great.
you need to get a volt meter, check battery voltage static, ie engine not running, start the sled and recheck voltage at battery , should be higher, then increase rpms to 3gs, most sleds dont put out high voltage at idol speeds,it should get higher as rpms go up, if u have no increase, u will need to back track voltage outputs from the stattor to the battery and so on,question i have is when the sled is running r the lights brite? dose the light get briter , with rpms? if this is all good, charging system is werking . u need to find out y it isnt getting to the battery, good luck
Yes anything is possible. Lol. I am dealing with the same issue and did testing for the last year. Mine is either cdi box or main wiring harness.
