Where is the engine oil dip stick located on the 1049

no dipstick, there is a sight glass on the side of oil reservoir

I saw that site glass but I thought it was the chain case oil, used to a two stroke

I can't remember which year but the oil tank was updated on the 1049 to include a dip stick for checking the level. Otherwise you have to open the RH panel and check the sight glass on the oil tank, not to be confused with the sight glass for the chaincase oil level which is always visible in the footwell.

No. I bought it used and was bummed that it didn't come with a manual
