Default Racheting sound

I have a 2003 skidoo 500 adrenaline and it's making a racheting sound when I hammer on the gas or go up a big hill but I can cruize around and it's fine

Why are you checking cogs?..what's the sag on the track. Is it within spec?

I checked the cogs to make sure they weren't broken and when the sleds in the air the track sags about half an inch

You have the specs for the track tension? Most specs call for some weight hanging in the center of the track then measured up to the bottom of the hyfax.

Another thing, check the top of the drive belt for separation, hard to see sometimes, that can/will act similar to ratcheting.
