Default Powder dog...I hate shoveling

So my old 96 Touring sled had metal skis with this plastic almost bed liner looking material that goes under the metal ski to make a wide ski. It goes great in powder. My 2002 Grand Touring sled sinks like a stone and I keep having to dig it out. I have tried to find either wider skis or a similar “under ski” to add on. My local dealer tells me that it is a touring sled...wait for the groomer. I mainly run sled on my farm. We don’t groom. Any thoughts?
