Default 1999 Sport 440 Fan: Idle increasing

Hello All:
Hope you can help me.
I picked up this sled last year from my brother in law. The problem is, when starting, the idle seems too low, by playing with the choke it quickly idles fine but has to warm up considerably otherwise it is very boggy at low speed and off the line.
Seems to run fine at normal and high speeds. When it is fully warm, when you stop, the engine idle is high, as time goes on it continues to climb to the point where it is engaging the clutches and begins burning the belt. When you shut it down, it will backfire because the idle speed is so high when shutting down.
I've adjusted the idle screws, and the idle air mixture screws and can't seem to resolve the problem. I have also changed the carb intake boots and gaskets as well.
Not sure where to go from here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like crank seals or other ail leak.

Try spraying around the crank seals and see if the idle changes. Other than that, you can try cleaning the pilot jets real good.
