Help! I am replacing rings in my wifeís 600 and asked a local dealer what grit I need for a flexible cylinder hone and was told I need a diamond hone. My initial thoughts were using a 240 grit but now donít know what to use. Thoughts?

If the cylinder is not damaged you can just replace the rings and go. You really can't hone Nikasil at home. Regular 3stone hone won't touch it.

You can use a flex/ball hone with 320 grit to deglaze the nikasil cylinder walls. Really need a special 4 stone diamond hone to do it right.
