Default going to look at the 04'xc 6 friday

4500 miles.for the last 4 years, this sled has been owned by a girl who drove it a few times a year and maintained by her father.

its the 04' 600 xc.very well cared for and stored according to owner.

shes due back in town Friday and im going to look at it.any issues specifically for the 04 I should be aware of ?it looks pretty much exactly like my 05 anniversary did with imo a nice paint scheme.

any hidden issues with the 04 600??

You probably already know this, but the headlight dimmer switch is known to fail, and the aluminum exhaust valves are also known to fail.

that's true of all edges or just the 04s in particular?

had a nice 05'switch 144 600 lined up but he bailed and kept it.

if this xc is in as good a shape as photos I might buy it and go look for a 144 skid to slap under there.apparently its got pipes too.

if there finicky pieces of shit I still got my 600 stock rmk pipe here to bolt in if need be.

mostly a 800 trait, 600 valves should last a fair bit more than 4k miles...?

Good looking sled. The 04' 600 sleds are a great sled, As any 600 ves.
As far as valves, keep them clean and they last along time. I keep mine clean religiously, and never had a failure in the many miles I've put on ves 500 or 600 sleds.
My brother bought a 500 in the same color this year, i love that color scheme right next to the 05' red and white, and the black and red schemes.
If its nice, and runs good, good compression and so on, i would buy it in a heart beat.

found a switchback 144 skid complete and track minus rear shock 650 cad

I may just buy it and then buy the skid in the fall and go 144 under the xc .

buy it man, 1500 is a great deal, and that's my favourite colour scheme for that year.
