The locals are telling me to not expect anything good/base until mid-late Dec. I'm going there in a few weeks (checking out property:-) and was hoping to catch some early riding, but not planning on it.

I'm jealous. Let me know how it turns out...
We are going out there in March again. We went there 2 years ago and it was insane. (Even though the snow was not great...)

have fun man!

Not sounding good... the snowies are still bare.... unless something changes VERY soon, there won't be any Thanksgiving riding this year...

last year I went on thanksgiving and was blessed with a dumping up high with over 4' of powder

Looks like whereever out west has snow on turkey day is where I'll be going!

the uintahs are starting to stack up a bit of snow over here in south western wyoming/north easter utah.

Not enough to go ride yet, but every morning the mountains look a little whiter off to the south. Going to take a drive up there tomorrow sometime and see if I can't at least go walk through some of it to see how its coming along.

I would wait if I were you. We went last year at Christmas and the conditions weren't prime yet.

We are heading out there in early Feb. this season.

I was there last Thanksgiving and that's the most powder I've ever seen... I was riding in 4-5' of fresh powder up top.....

but as of right now.. trip has changed to Togwotee... they got a base starting out there already with a hopefully forecast.. and snowies are still dry..

I was there over New Years last year? Conditions weren't prime? Base was set, and powder was able to be fround in the trees.
