Default Must see places outside of Yellowstone Park?

I am returning to Yellowstone for the first time since 2006, with a group of 12. We will be doing a tour of the park on our first day. The rest of the week we will be riding outside the park. What are the must-see places within a reasonable ride of the park. Most of us are experienced east coast/mid west riders, but we do have 2 newbies coming. Only 2 of us will be playing off trail, I want to make sure the newbies see all the cools sights in the area, so they have a memorable trip. I don't want to miss any great photo ops.

I have ridden to Ashton Idaho out of the south Gate and stayed there overnight.

That trail takes you across the top of a large dam. Never did know it's name.

We tried to ride from BiG Sky MT to Yellowstone and didn't make it. We tried to ride from Yellowstone to Big Sky and didn't make that either. These were the days B 4 longtracks. There are trails that take you to Lion's Head and Two Top mountains easy access to their tops.
