Yes, its that time get the dam thing out of the way!!

I bought my trail pass yesterday on line and we all know how the AWSC gets jammed up if you wait till the last minute. Club members, I paid $10 on line plus $1.50 Convenience Fee the total was $11.50 for one sled.

I have been thinking about doing the same, I just hesitate as I never know if I am going to keep the sleds or not. Does anyone know if the trail pass is tied to the sleds registration or is it like Michigan where you buy one and they don't care what you put it on as long as you have a trail sticker on the vehicle you are riding?

When you buy your trail passes online, you have to enter your WI registration number. The trail pass sticker has a bar code on it. I assume they can scan the bar code on the sticker to see if it belongs to the registered sled.

I am fairly confident that they ask for your snowmobile registration number to make sure you aren't buying extra passes for someone else. I bought five last year and they were not assigned to any specific registration when I received them, just five stickers in the envelope. One went with one of the sleds I sold.

I have traded them with friends before. I was not going up north but my friend was he put mine on his sled when his pass came in I put his on my sled. No issues.

I wonder why there is a bar code on the trail pass? It must be associated with something...I would think it ties back to the snowmobile registration. And I would think they would be happy to sell as many stickers as you want to buy.

I believe you can buy as many trail passes as you want at the full price. To purchase a discounted trail pass you need to have an AWSC number and then they only let you buy enough passes to cover the sleds which you have registered to you.

On a related note I really wish the AWSC would allow membership for longer than one year and then they would allow you to add the trail pass fee to the normal registration fee and you would only need to have one sticker on the vehicle so you wouldn't need to deal with getting a trail pass each year. Or at a minimum I could buy a trail pass that lasted longer than one year (Three years would be great).

Slow my arss.

Michigan is not even on the board yet with their trail passes. Honestly, Wisconsin is ahead of the ball game when it comes to our trail sports.

2 changes this year with AWSC membership:

1. Your AWSC membership is valid from 7/1/2019 to 6/30/2020
No more double dipping!

2. Dues increased to $12 from $10. It's up to your club if they pass that fee on, or continue standard rates.
Our local club did not raise prices.
