Default Price County

Hi There

Our group is looking to explore the Price County area for the first time. Does anyone have any recommendations on a place to stay march 22-24. Any trail route advice? We were thinking dead center of the county is around solberg lake.

Thanks for your time!

Brian

I ride Price Co a few times per year. Great riding, trails are often excellent, but do note, it is a remote area with not a lot of stops for food, fuel or lodging. With that being said, it does not have nearly the congestion of many other areas - so it is a balance.

Sunset Haven on Solberg lake with the Polish Palace is a good location. The place can be a hoot, but the last time I was there with my wife and kids, the staff was rude and slow. Not sure if it was they don't like kids or something else, because in the past it has been a good stop. The trails from this location will be all good to great in every direction.

Another option would be to stay to the east of there and ride into Price Co. Not sure how many miles you normally do in a day, but if you are usually in the 100-200 mile trip a day, there are more options in the Willow Flowage region, Tomahawk or even Somo Lake.

We normally have our last trip late in february to lake nokomis and we ride out to the willow flowage and like the area. We were looking to be a bit further west. This year we ended up leaving our nokomis trip early to avoid the blizzard. With all of the snow we thought why not try again! The two places that do have openings are polish palace and then comfort cove. Comfort cove appears to have cabins that suit us a bit better. Has anyone stayed here or stopped at the bar/restaurant? Any reviews lol?

Thanks Again!

Price county is a great place to ride. There are a couple of different places on Solberg. Check out the map for numerous options...

Map is in hand, that's how i found the two places on Solberg Lake! I see there are many to choose from. That's why i'm asking if any place in particular is recommended! Has anyone ever stayed/visited at comfort cove?

Thank you!

I spoke to the new owner when we were looking for a place a few weeks ago. They were booked up at the time. She seemed very nice and accommodating...
