Could we still have a good season? Idk.

Marathon county isn't even open yet, and looking at these dates historically, it's looking worse and worse. If we get hit with massive snow this sunday, that would help, but best case scenario the trails would open next weekend, which is Jan 12/13. Again, looking at this data, best case scenario is winter lasts a long time until the end of March.

Is there any other places to look for this data, by county? I want to ride to work, but it's looking like this is a total pipe dream these days, so I'm seriously considering just selling my sleds, house, toys, and moving someplace that actually gets winter.
I lived in Northern IL in 1972 when I started snowmobiling. Back then we had club rides there on WED nights for guys and family rides on SUN and did plenty of riding.

As conditions declined and my finances improved I bought a condo in Hurley in 1992 then in 95 some property 5 miles west of there and built my place up north but still lived and worked in IL. However every FRI night during the season I drove the 372 miles one way to snowmobile all day SAT and till early SUN afternoon than heading back.

Then I found ATVing for the SUMMER but only did that every other weekend.

Was a lifetime boater and spent the other weekend on the Chain of Lakes in IL.

There are still many inexpensive places fot sale in the area but, don't plan on moving here getting a job and paying a mortgage. About a 3rd of the population is retired and another 3rd on some sort of State aid. Lot of waitressing, dishwashing, bartending jobs.

Have a friend that has his Motel and bar up for sale here and asking 400k. I think most a bank would cover would be 200k
but he might consider a contract from right person. But don't think you could be an absentee owner. The only way
these places make it is hands on.

Crunching numbers will not make it snow, or predict next week.

So much for that snowstorm we were supposed to get last night. I just listed two of my sleds for sale.
