I can google it but I want to ask here who experienced the area in the summer. Looking for suggestions for a family on where to stay and what to do.

Thanks
Dwight

My Family has had a house in Bayfield since '57 you can find whatever your looking for there from cheap hotels to places like the Pier Plaza which is across from the city dock with nice bar and restaurant attached. No shortage of Bed and Breakfest type places or the Ritenhouse Inn which is world famous. The Casino 3 mi north is also new and very nice if you gamble. Same deal with Restaurants
You can take the ferry to Madeline see the town there with alot of history and theres 2 State parks on the far side of the island, one miles of pure white sand, the other very rugged rocky cliffs of shoreline. Several different tours of the island and or the sea caves, or you can rent sea kayaks and paddle out to the caves. If you go one block off main st (Rittenhouse) on Broad street there is a trail through the big ravine with 5 waterfalls or there is a trail north of the public beach through some smaller rock formations, also a nice hiking trail south along the lake down by the lumber company. The Chamber of Comm. is open 24 hrs and has info on everything around there

I noticed someone called but we were out walking the dog and I didn't recognize the number so I didn't return the call.

I heard radio commercials all last summer bout Apostle Island cruises. Our favorite area we visit 1-2 times a yr is Duluth and North Shore. Trying new things. Don't want to go in blind and not make the best of it.
