Its no big deal, Langlade Co WI have had ATV's on the snowmobile trails since the 80's the and the Antigo flats are flat and fast. The only issue I have ever seen was a banshee type ATV grind two tire marks down the trail about ten years ago. After all these years sharing the trails with the ATV's I have no problem with them. The rules are for the ATVer's temps must be 28 deg or less and they have to wait for the trails to be setup or firm up to be determined by the snowmobile clubs. Honestly you hardly see any of them out there and its not as fun as the sleds I have tried it myself at one time.

It's perfectly legal as long as it's a road or ORV trail open to the public. ORVs are not allowed on snowmobile trails that cross private land. The MSA has been lobbying to get this changed but as of now it is not illegal.

It's open year round for ORVs/UTVs, one of the reasons I stay away from the area.

Some trails are sled only.

Years ago I came across a 4 wheeler travel8ng my direction, and was close call. Narrow trail. I thought was wrong.

They don't pay grooming fees. Back then stickers were not so bad.

Unless trails are wide enough it is dangerous. When young I though there tires should be slashed, but just being mouthy

For everything there is a season.

Many trails here in NW Wisconsin are dual sled/ATV/wheeled/vehicle usable, in recent years wheeled vehicles are outselling sleds 3-4 to 1 so they allowed it, I have sleds and ATV's but I personally stay off the groomed trails till May with my ATV's.

I wish they would have more open groomed trails for dual use I think it would be nice to group up together double the fun I ride both so having the choice and good trails for both would be nice

Not a fan of shared trails, but it is what it is. I feel like the ATV / UTV guys have access for 8 months out of the year as it is and we're lucky if we truly get to use them December - March. The stuff that pisses me off is, we've met a groomer coming towards us and less than a mile behind it was .... yep, you guessed it ... a group of side by sides trenching up the freshly groomed trail. That, to me, is BS.

I believe that is the Little Manistee ORV trail. Those are mixed traffic trails and are groomed for sleds in the winter. However, I believe becaus ethey are mixed traffic trails you will see ATV's Side x sides, and full sized trucks and jeeps on them. The trails on the west side of 37 I believe its illegal to have ORV's on the snowmobile trails.

That is how I remember, from Club 37 staging area East of M37 is mixed and posted as mixed open year round even though it's groomed in the winter for sleds. A large percentage of snowmobile trails are open year round UP and LP to ORVs because they are part of county and state roads, you just can't pass through the small patches of private land.
