Default Letchworth ?

How is Letchworth area, and where is the best place to drop near there? We're coming from Binghamton area, and have never been west of Horseheads before to sled. Thanks for any info.

Not sure the conditions but Mt Morris entrance to Letchworth is a good spot to park and ride from.

I think you cna call the park as well and it will tell if the trails are open thru the park.

Rode thru Letchworth last night. That area got 12-18 inches of snow. Riding was not bad and should be good today. You can enter the Mt. Morris entrance go up 3-5 miles and park in the parking lot on the left near the pools. Lots of nice riding in this area. Enjoy while you can.....

Figured I'd give an update for the youth of tomorrow. Or for myself in 5 years once I've completely forgotten how to get there and where to go.
We dropped at Letchworth Pines, per recommendations here. We did end up eating there at the end of the day, and even tho the place is a bowling alley the food ain't too bad. The scenery wasn't too bad either. Different bowling pins, etc. Found our way into the park and followed C3 up to the dam near the top, then backtracked on c3 back to C4, and headed west on C4. Went through Warsaw, Varysburg, then down to Java Center, Bliss and back to the park. 125 miles or so.
We initially didn't have a map (but did have GPS with trail maps loaded), so being rooks to the area we didn't know what to expect as far as stops, gas, food, etc. We luckily did pop into the Byrnecliff resort near Varysburg and picked up a couple of maps, and then we were golden.
Overall we were very impressed with the area, and would definitely go again. Being in CNY we're always getting pulled up 81 to south of Oneida, or Tug, Central Square, Old Forge, etc., but the trail system in western NY was a pleasant surprise. Would highly recommend to anyone who hasn't been. We'll go back for sure.
