Are trails accessible from Uncle Bills? Trail shows closed for logging, but opens once you get across 100 headed towards Albany, but should I be able to get to there without issue? I presume the logging is to the west towards Belvidere.

Yes there is logging on the Belvidere side, supposed to be for a month. More importantly there is no longer a trail from Belvidere to Montgomery. Albany side is fine, last I heard they still had a decent stretch of road riding.

The trails out of Eden are in great shape when I went riding on Friday. 118 to Belvidere was closed due to logging, but the folks at Uncle Bills said it might be open this weekend. As Admiral said, the section of 118 over cold hollow mountain is now closed permanently, unfortunately.

There's still a long section of road riding off of south pond road in Eden, but it was snow covered and frozen on Friday. I ended up doing about 115 miles from Eden, over to Hazens Notch, then up 242 to Jay and North Troy and back through Westfield and Lowell. Lots of snow cover and the trails for the most part were excellent. Only a few small water bars that have probably frozen over by now. Get out there and ride, you won't be disappointed.

You must have done the same loop I did. Still disappointed in the cold hollow mountain being closed, that was a great trail.

That was a great trail. Any idea why it's closed permanently?

I'm not sure exactly, but I assume someone bought the land since I remember seeing a realtor sign up there. I hope they find a work around.

Large track was purchased for a very large sugaring operation I believe between the Gibou and Montgomery.

Disappointed but glad to hear that it wasn't due to foolish riding!

Hopeful that the trails leading from Bill's will be fully open this year, used to be one of my favorite locations to ride from. Anyone have any updates?

A GREAT starting point in that area. But as you mentioned, Trail 118 up the mountain to Montgomery was a beautiful trail. One of the best in the State.
