Not to bad, Just look for bad areas, like just after Coos Canyon and mile after height of land. I travel every weekend. Rt4 isn't much better this year. Terrible near small falls. Drive safe, will be tuff this Friday with snow

I would have sworn with all that road re-construction this was going to be my go-to route this season. Tried it in December. It still blows.

As said....Smalls Falls is heaved on the other route. Pick your poison. I go thru Farmington probably since I usually stop at Tucks Ale House for a well earned draft on the way home. ;-)

Made the loop last friday from Farmington to Rangely (rte 4) down Rte 17 to Mexico. It sucked big balls but I would say 17 a tad better. The entire trip I did not envy dudes hauling sleds on these shitty roads.

rt 17 is what made me learn about good expensive trailer construction vs cheapo trailer construction

Be careful what you wish for, if the roads got better more people would come.

The frost heaves have begun it was a rough ride in the western mountains this past week. I was surprised how bad it became in just one week.
